KAITLIN Roach added another dimension to the City of Launceston RSL Band Brass and Pipes Spectacular yesterday.
The Aileen Poynter dancer took to the aisles of the Holy Trinity Church, dressed in her Irish costume, to feature as a soloist as the band played River Dance .
Band president Julie Lynch said organisers always tried to do something different at each concert and this was the first time they had ever had a dancer.
``It's added a whole different dimension and colour to our performance,'' she said. ``It was very well received.''
The concert was MC'd by Dr Frank Madill and featured the St Andrews Caledonian Pipe Band.
The program included songs from around the world, including the British Military Medley , the Can Can and Amazing Grace .
Ms Lynch said about 80 people attended the concert.
The City of Launceston RSL Band holds a concert at least three times a year.
